On Friday, Aug 30, the Manvel Mavericks football team kicked off the start of the season with a 33-12 victory over the Spring Lions.
The day began with a pep rally to raise students’ spirits in the MHS gym and then took to the seats of Alvin Memorial Stadium, where students and staff gathered to show their support and enthusiasm for the game. At halftime, the score sat at a close 13-6, but Manvel later managed to secure their victory in the third and fourth quarters.
