On Nov. 22 and 30, the Manvel Maverick football team defeated the Bush Broncos and Memorial Mustangs as they continue on the road to State Championship.
Mavericks came out to support their team at Pasadena for the first game. Though the Mavericks seemed to secure the lead during the first half, tensions ran high after halftime when Bush caught up and even maintained a momentary lead. The Manvel Mavericks managed to score a winning touchdown in the final 11 seconds of the game, putting the final score at 51-44. The next game was less eventful but equally successful, with a final score of 49-21.
The next game will be against Katy High School at Reliant Stadium.
