The Manvel High School Girls finished as Co-Champions alongside Pearland at the District 22-5A Swim and Dive Championships. Courtney Gay was named Girl Diver of the meet, and Bridgette Seip named Girl Swimmer of the meet.
This is their second year in a row for the girls to be crowned champions and for the team as a whole to win the combined championship title. The boys’ team finished in second place against Alvin with only four points separating the from the first place title. Not only did the students get recognized, but Coach Rick Veal also received appreciation by being rewarded as District 22-5A Girls’ Coach of the Year.
The following students all qualified to represent MHS at the regional swim meet later this month: Morgan Brady, Kara Diffley, Courtney Gay, Marie Libert, Vannessa Nuval, Zori Petrova, Noelle Redman, Liz Roudbari, Bridgette Seip, Brittay Warneke, James Douglas, Ahmed Elsayes, Tristan Garza, Partick Meador, Vince Ondiz, Dalton Redman, Scott Tohern, Damian Sambrano, Adriel Sanes, and Conner Stewart.
