In celebration of the girls’ basketball team state championship win, the community held a parade at the Pearland Town Center on March 19.
After marching through the square, attenders gathered in the pavilion to listen to speeches from Athletic Direction Kirk Martin, Principal Charlotte Liptack and members of the basketball team. The following day, students and faculty of the athletic department came together for an assembly, where basketball team member Brianna Turner was honored with the Gatorade National Girls Basketball player of the year, presented by representatives of Gatorade, USA Today, and WNBA player Maya Moore.
