Members of the MHS community occupied the field at tonight’s game against Dobie High School to bid one final tearful farewell to Landon Liptack.
The ceremony, which took place minutes before the game was set to kick off, served to honor Landon’s memory by retiring his ball boy jersey. Landon’s mother, principal Charlotte Liptack, was joined by colleagues, students, and athletes on the 50 yard line as she placed the jersey on a small metal frame, signifying its retirement. Attendants then turned their attention to the jumbotron to watch a slideshow of photos of Landon and reflect on the impact his loss has had on the MHS community.
