On Oct. 31, the Mighty Maverick Marching Band traveled to the Alamodome to compete in the Texas Dairy Queen Bands of America Super-Regional at San Antonio.
This performance marks not only the end of their competitive season, but also the first time in school history that the band has attended this event to compete alongside some of the best high school marching bands in the country.
“We tell the kids a lot, but all four staff members over here and even our drill writer are just super proud of them,” band director Nathan Pair said. “They should be proud of every show that they did and we’re excited for them to have these successes and we’re looking forward to go into next year.”
