Freshman Cara Maxwell will advance to the Area contest after earning second place at the district FFA Leadership Development Contest for Greenhand Creed Speaking. The competition was held Nov. 10.
“FFA has a lot more leadership opportunities than people believe,” freshman Cara Maxwell said. “It opens up a lot of doors.”
The competition aims to teach students skills that will help them in the future. Greenhand Creed Speaking, Senior Creed Speaking, and FFA Broadcasting teach good communication skills. The job interview portion prepares students for real interviews. The Greenhand FFA Quiz portion teaches students good study habits and everything there is to know about FFA.
